A public subsidy platform, from request to sign-off
next.js trpc typescript
For a client of Embie, I helped digitalize a subsidies process that had been largely manual. The result was a brand-new web platform.
Citizens and companies issue subsidy requests for projects abroad and track their status throughout the project lifecycle. On the other side, the client's agents review requests, ask for modifications, and handle the administrative work around them.
What shipped
A Next.js application with a typed tRPC API, the request lifecycle modelled as a state machine, and auth handled through Keycloak — shipped and run on Kubernetes with GitHub Actions.
Beyond the code
Alongside the build, I helped the team adopt a more agile way of working and
coached the more junior developers on it.
Result
One platform replaced a slow, paper-bound process, with a clear, auditable status for every request from submission to sign-off.
